Elizabeth Helsel – ESL Coordinator, Tutoring Program

aEHelselElizabeth joined the Literacy Council in 2014. She has a background in volunteer management and teaching ESL in the USA, Spain, and Costa Rica. Most recently, Elizabeth spent a year in Madrid, Spain teaching English as a Foreign Language at a bilingual primary school.

Elizabeth holds a BS in Cultural Anthropology with a minor in Latin American Studies and the Cambridge University CELTA. Elizabeth is currently pursuing her Graduate Certificate in TESOL. “Working in the field of adult literacy is a passion of mine. I love helping people get the tools they need to be successful in life and watching them continue to grow and succeed over time.”
